Although the flat card did clean some of the dirt from the unit, the Waffle Technology® card removed still more dirt that the flat card left behind! Thermal Printhead Cleaning Pens
Our pens have a white fiber tip that is perfect for removing built up debris on thermal print heads. The pen tips are saturated with a printer safe cleaning solution. To use the pen, merely swipe the fiber tip back and forth across the printhead to remove all the contaminants. After cleaning the printhead, you can wipe the pen tip across a clean paper surface to clean the tip. Replace the cover and store the pen for the next cleaning!
Our pens come pre-packaged inside cleaning kits with other products designed to clean your entire printer. They can also be purchased separately in boxes of 12! Credit Card / Magnetic Stripe / Thermal Printer Cleaning Card / ESD Clean and Treat Pack
We carry two different types of cleaning cards to meet different markets. Please click on the image above, OR HERE , for more detailed information on our Magnetic Stripe Reader Cleaning Cards. The first is our standard flat cleaning card with a soft fuzzy coating for loosening and removing contaminants from your thermal printers. The second is our Waffle Technology® card that has those patented humps and ridges designed to get into the areas of most magnetic stripe readers where dirt hides and clean it out!
More and more cards these days are employing an additional method of security where a hologram is covering the magnetic stripe. This is usually not a problem, but during times of low humidity a static charge can build up on the hologram as it is swiped and the resulting ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) can actually kill the read electronics behind the read head! Fortunately, RTS has a solution with our ESD Clean and Treat packs. The packs contain two of our Waffle Technology magnetic stripe reader cleaning cards. One is saturated in our normal IPA solvent for cleaning and the other is a proprietary anti-static solution that helps to eliminate the buildup of static electricty during the card read cycle. Many thermal printer manufacturers want you to use only the standard flat cleaning card with a soft fuzzy coating for cleaning since they do not want any of the alcohol based cleaning solution to contaminate the resin side of the print ribbon. This is an example of where a Waffle Technology® card may not be the best solution.
For most magnetic stripe / credit card applications, a flat card will do a satisfactory job of cleaning the reading mechanism, but a Waffle Technology card will really remove the dirt! Please call us and allow us to work with you to determine which card best suits your application!

Our lens cleaning cloths for optical lenses are designed to leave a clean and lint free lens when finished. Our Dual Wipe cleaning cloths are designed to leave a clean and lint free surface when finished. Our Dual Wipes are both Alcohol and Ammonia free making them safe for use even on the most sensitive of surfaces! Alcohol Cleaning Wipe
Our Alcohol wipes are saturated with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. The tough cleaning wipes really stand up to rubbing on surfaces. The wipe helps to trap loosened debris instead of merely smearing it around the surface you are trying to clean! The Alcohol Cleaning wipes are typically packaged 100 to a box.

SNAP Swabs
Our SNAP swabs have their handles filled with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol cleaning solution. To saturate the soft foam head, merely bend the plastic handle until the capsule containing the solution in the hollow handle snaps. Turn the swab head down to saturate it and you are ready to clean. SNAP swabs are great for cleaning the areas of equipment where a cleaning card or a wipe would be unable to reach!

Adhesive Cleaning Cards
